What is Mukuru?


Mukuru enables our customers to move money around the world. Whether sending money home for school fees, the purchasing of seeds and farming equipment, hospital bills, rent, or groceries. Mukuru is available at any PEP, PEP Home, or PEP Cell store.


How to send money with Mukuru to Botswana or South Africa


  1. Sign up and create your order.
  2. If you’re in RSA, WhatsApp “Hi” to +27 86 001 8555 and follow the prompts to get started. OR dial *130*566# and select option 1 – “Sign up for Mukuru”.
  3. If you’re in Botswana, WhatsApp “Hi” to +267 7718 4600 OR dial *233# to create your order.
  4. You can also download the official Mukuru App on all of the App stores to complete this process.
  5. After you’ve registered, create an order.
  6. Next, make the payment at your nearest PEP.
  7. Remember to bring the correct amount and reference number to any PEP store of your choice.
  8. Pay your order within 72 hours using cash or card at the till.

Pay for your order at any PEP store in Zambia and send money to your loved ones across Africa, Europe, and Asia and more. To get started, follow these easy steps:

What is Mama Money?


Mama Money is the easy way to send money worldwide. Mama Money easily allows customers to send money from South Africa to other countries in minutes.


How to send money with Mama Money


  1. Dial *120*542# to start creating your order.
  2. Add the receiver’s details and select the receiver from the list created.
  3. Insert the amount you would like to send and wait to receive an SMS with a Pay@ number.
  4. Bring the amount and your Pay@ number to any PEP, PEP Home or PEP Cell.
  5. Your cellphone number will be your reference number. Cellphone and internet payments are also accepted – no cash deposits at the bank.
  6. Transfer the exact amount as stated in your order, which will remain valid for 24 hours.
  7. Within 30 minutes, your money will be in Zimbabwe, where Mama Money’s partner is CABS Bank.

Want to get a CABS Textacash card? Here’s how:


  • Cards can be collected before or after the money is sent. The card is free and no reference is required.
  • Bring your ID document to any CABS branch or agent.
  • Find a Textacash Branch / Agent click here.

  • The cost of sending money is 5% of the amount you want to send. For example, if you send R1000, your fee will be R50. The total amount you would need to pay in this case would be R1050.
  • You can send a maximum of R3000 per day. There will be no monthly fees for money that is kept on the card.

What is Access Forex?

How to send money with Ria Sikhona


  1. Click on the ‘Send Money’ button found on the home screen of our mobile app.
  2. Either select an existing beneficiary you have sent money to before or create a new beneficiary to send money to.
  3. Enter in your transaction details.
  4. Accept the quote provided and pay for your transaction at any PEP, PEP Home, or PEP Cell Store.
  5. (Only valid if you are sending money to a new beneficiary) Enter in your beneficiary’s personal information.

How to Pay for your order at PEP


  1. Create a transaction in our mobile app.
  2. Use the payment reference that was sent to you via notification message to pay for your order at PEP.
  3. Once the payment has been complete you must then send your beneficiary the collection reference you received via notification message so they can collect their funds.
