How to send

The sender must bring their bar-coded RSA ID. The cashier scans the RSA ID Book or ID Card Book or RSA ID Card and provides their cell phone number.

The sender will then be requested to enter their secret 4-digit PIN on the PIN pad.

The cash to be sent needs to then be taken from the sender and a receipt printed.

The sender will receive an SMS voucher with a 10-digit withdrawal number.

The sender will then have to forward/send the SMS voucher, 4-digit secret PIN, and the value amount of the money transferred to the recipient.
NB: The sender must make sure that they give the recipient the 4-digit PIN and amount sent, or they will be unable to make the withdrawal.
How to collect your Instant Money Transfer

The recipient can withdraw at any PEP, PEP Home, PEP Cell, or any of our multiple cash-out partners.

To withdraw at a retailer cash-out point, you will need your bar-coded South African ID Book or RSA ID Card.

To withdraw at a Standard Bank ATM, you will need the 10-digit withdrawal number and 4-digit secret PIN.

Limits and Fee Structure
The minimum amount that can be sent is R50 & the maximum is R2 000 per transaction.
The customer has a daily limit of R3 000 – and a monthly limit of R25 000.
Once a transaction has been made, the money transfer is valid for 3 years. It costs R9.90 per transaction to send money.

Our CashSends are underwritten by Absa Bank Limited and allows you to instantly send money to anyone in South Africa. You can send up to R3 000 a day, at a maximum of R1 500 per transaction at any PEP, PEP Home & PEP Cell store in RSA.
